Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Tickets are now on sale for the last FOLSC event of 2016.
The critically acclaimed 'Pantaloon Theatre Company' will be performing their own unique take on Robert Louis Stephenson's 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' at Long Sutton Village Hall, on Sunday 16th October, with curtain up at 7.30 pm. Some may have already enjoyed their summer touring production of 'The Canterbury Tales' performed locally at Montacute, Wells and Castle Cary, so you will know what to expect - but don't just take our word for it. A recent review by The Stage magazine said 'Glorious' whilst the Daily Telegraph described their work as 'Brilliant' and the Guardian said simply 'Inimitable'!
The Pantaloons, with a talented cast of just 3 taking all the roles present their unique interpretation of Stephenson's classic tale of murder, mystery and transmogrification! When lawyer John Utterson fears that his friend Dr Jekyll is being blackmailed by the shadowy and violent Mr Hyde, he begins an investigation that will inexorably lead him to the shocking truth of this strange case - but will it be too late…? The Pantaloons are a young, vibrant company who bring a vital sense of "play" back to classical performance and in their theatre your imagination is just as important as theirs. We are advised the production will be both musical and interactive too...as well as some scares amongst the jokes!
Tickets are on sale now by kind permission of the Long Sutton Village Shop and are priced at £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for children - but please note this production is not suitable for those under 12 years of age. We are expecting another sell out event so we recommend securing your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Full bar services will be available so please join us for a Sunday evening at the Theatre but without the need to travel to London, Bath or Bristol! Doors open at 7.00 pm so come early and enjoy a drink or two with friends before the performance and during the interval.
